Happy Birthday Dallas .....

Wow I can't believe my baby is 15 years old today . Time goes by so fast , it's true what they say , little girls do grow up to be your best friends , because your my best friend . I am so proud of you , you try to win souls now and your having your own walk with GOD , I love your boldness and how you reprove people when it comes to GOD'S word , I love how you want to be a mother when you grow up and have as many kids as GOD wants to give you . You are growing up to be the kind of person I wanted you to be . I always hoped you wanted to grow up to be like me , but there are things about you that I would like to be more like you in some ways , you are such a beautiful person , I wish people could see how beautiful you are on the inside and not just on the outside .You truly are a blessing , I could not imagine being without you , just keep following Jesus . I love you ......love mom!!!!!

Happy new year and merry Christmas , I'm sorry that I didn't get to do the Christmas post I wanted to , 2 weeks before Christmas I started having terrible pains , I have a huge cyst on my right ovary that has never hurt me throughout this pregnancy until now . I never knew about cyst and I never knew how much pain that they can cause , I could hardly walk across the floor . The doctors told me they could do nothing for me unless it ruptures , which was very comforting , they only teach doctors now about conventional medicine and surgery , so after being in pain for a week and a half I decided to go on the Internet and see if there was a natural way to relieve the pain , and I found an article that said to drink 10 glasses of water a day and to sit on a heating pad , and it worked , I am praying daily that God will shrink this cyst or take it away , my doctor wants to do surgery after the baby is born which I don't want , I am trying out this diet that is supposed to shrink cyst , I hope it helps , if anybody has any suggestions please help me . I thank God that 3 days before Christmas I started doing a lot better , so I had even more to be thankful for , It was very hard for me not being able to do anything , being idle makes me crazy , but I tried to keep myself busy which helped a lot I caught up on some reading and scrap booking , I will post some of the pages soon , and me and the kids made banana caterpillars on the coffee table since I couldn't get off the couch , I will post that recipe to . I have enjoyed reading every one's blogs , I'm glad everyone is doing well . We had a wonderful Christmas and a great new years day . God Bless !!!

Homemade Pumpkin Pie

You will need - two 9 inch pie shells
1 1/2 cup pumpkin = 1 small can
1 cup sugar
1 can cream
2 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 heaping tablespoons flour
2 eggs
mix all dry ingredients
add vanilla , beaten eggs ,
cream , add pumpkin last
bake at 325 deg. until done
pies are usually done when
knifeblade comes out clean .

Happy Thanksgiving !!!

I wanted to wish all my brethren on here a Happy thanksgiving , I know that I have a lot to be thankful for , and we all do . I hope to spend this weekend with the kids and hopefully doing some crafts . I want to add that we should all keep in mind what Thanksgiving is all about , giving thanks to GOD for all that he has given us . Obama does not know what Thanksgiving is about but George Washington did and I am going to post his Thanksgiving Proclamation .

Staying Busy !

Well I can't believe that it's November already , I have been so busy that I don't know where the time has gone . I went for my ultrasound today and got some great news , first off Leah has a cleft lip , almost no top lip at all , and they could only find one nostril . The good news is they could not find anything else wrong with her , they checked her from head to toe . They said usually when a baby has a cleft lip they also have something wrong with there brain , but they couldn't find anything wrong with her brain. They want me to come back once a month to see if she is growing like she should , after she is born they are going to make a thing for her face so she will be able to nurse , during the ultrasound Leah kept sucking her thumb again , I wonder if she is going to be a thumb sucker , but most babies stop doing that after they are born . Thanks to the are they all yours blog and her great post on felt food , I decided to make the kids some Christmas presents this year . I am not good at sewing , all I know how to do is your basic sewing by hand , I don't even know how to use a sewing machine , but kids don't care how it turns out , I tried to pick easy stuff , I also decided to make her some food from her favorite things she likes to order from restaurants . I had to learn how to do a french knot for the Graham crackers and the Crazy bread , I don't like french knots but after you do it so many times it's not so bad , I had Dallas to go in Little Caesar's and ask them for a Crazy bread bag , I think I will try to make a pizza to and ask Pizza hut for a pan pizza box . Right now I am working on felt potatoes , after that I am going to make tea bags and corn dogs , I am also making the kids some Bottle cap necklaces , little girls love jewelry . I also took the kids to Jcp to have there pictures made , I will post one of those when I get them back . Thank you all for all your prayers , til next time GOD BLESS !!!! Another Update !!!

Well I finally went to my new Dr. and she is so nice , I really like her . I told her the test that I didn't want to have done and she really listened to me , she did not make a big deal out of it like the last Dr. I had . I decided to have an ultrasound to find out if I was having a boy/girl , and I am having a girl , I am so excited , I already had a boy and girl name picked out , I am going to name her Leah . During my ultrasound the lady asked me if I had been to the high risk Dr. , I knew something was wrong and wondered why she ask me that , but I know they are not supposed to say very much , I got a call from my Dr. the next day saying that they were going to send me for a special ultrasound because they seen abnormalities on Leah's face , my apt. is Nov. 1 . They also need better pictures of her spine , they said she is so active she won't be still . I know it is a sin to worry and I try not to , even though in some situations it is hard but I keep trying to keep this verse in mind which is also one of my favorites - Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love GOD , to them who are the called according to his purpose . I know that whatever happens it is for my good according to his purpose . I do hope that my little Leah will be OK . I came home and enlarged Leah's ultrasound picture , my favorite one of her trying to suck her thumb , I am going to put it in a frame and hang it above her little chest of drawers . Last night I got to see Dallas perform in one of her band competitions for the first time , I was so proud of her she did so good , I only stayed long enough to watch her because it is getting so cold here at night , we had to wear coats and gloves and I still got cold , I don't like cold weather a lot anymore , and we don't have much time left before our pretty weather will be gone .I finally got finished with my fall cleaning , maybe I can catch up on other things now .
